[BioMart Users] modifying access point

Parul Kudtarkar
Dear Biomart community,

I would like to add example to the description field when I modify the
access point such that it would be displayed on the webpage:

Example for icgc mart for the identifier search field there is
Example:TP53, ENSG00000133703, NM_000314
http://dcc.icgc.org/

If I simply try to add Example:XYZ to the description filed of filter it
is not finally displayed on the web.
Please advice how this can be done.

Yours in discovery,
Parul Kudtarkar

Re: [BioMart Users] modifying access point

Arek Kasprzyk
Hi Parul
sorry about the delay. I am enclosing an example from the icgc registry file courtesy of Junjun Zang:

the 'description' field of the Identifier search GUI tab (aka GUI container):
<span>Examples: </span> <a href="./martsearch/#!/?q=TP53">TP53</a>, <a href="./martsearch/#!/?q=ENSG00000133703">ENSG00000133703</a>, <a href="./martsearch/#!/?q=NM_000314">NM_000314</a>

BTW, as far as I remember this file is included in the rc 6 under 'registry' dir so you an retrieve it and use it for examples

Re: [BioMart Users] modifying access point

Parul Kudtarkar
Dear Arek,

Thanks the GUI container does not apply to the filter section. Hence if I
want to add examples to the description field of filters they are not
finally displayed. Do let  me know if I am doing some thing wrong.

Thanks,
Parul
