Flybase Like Tissue Expression Tracks

joomanji
Hi all,

I am interested to display multi time point microarray in Gbrowse, something like we seen in the FlyBase Gbrwose:

under the tissue expression tracks.

Wonder is there any ready plugin or module that can achieve the same functionality in Gbrowse? Any help is highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Soon Joo

Hi Soon,

That is an awesome glyph, isn't it?  While the folks at FlyBase
Harvard have promised to release that glyph, it hasn't happened yet.
I guess it's time for another poke :-)

Re: Flybase Like Tissue Expression Tracks

Josh Goodman
It sort of happened.  Victor Strelets (the glyph creator, cc'd here)
put up a crude page with some details a while back.

http://flybase.org/static_pages/docs/software/topoview.html

Scott, what needs to happen for a formal contribution of this glyph?

Cheers,
Josh

Re: Flybase Like Tissue Expression Tracks

Hi Josh and Victor,

I didn't realize you'd done that; I'd be willing to add this to the
BioGraphics repository when there is pod added along with a license
statement.  Most of the work to add pod has already been done in the
webpage--it's really just a matter of reformatting.
