[Gmod-ajax] Publication credit for JBrowse plugin authors

Keiran Raine

Hi,

Just thought I'd drop a line following an interesting talk at BOSC (ISMB/ECBB).

The Journal of Open Source Software is aimed at ensuring authors of software tools get credit for their work.  The intent presented is mainly to ensure that your contribution to a project isn't lost in a larger discussion of the surrounding scientific applications, allowing your tools to be cited and indexed appropriately.

Estimated time to complete a submission (if already documented) is 1-2 hours.

Regards,

Keiran Raine

Thanks Keiran.
This looks like an interesting journal for this sort of project. Thanks for the tip. A paper rounding up the contributed plugins is definitely in the works this year.
