Item Classname Method

Vallejos, Andrew

I am trying to dynamically determine the class of an item.

I have in my script:

my $class = $item->classname;

however $class is empty.

Am I using the correct method?

Thanks,

Andrew

PS – This is using the Perl API.

Re: Item Classname Method

Hi Andrew,
I think there's an implementations method that will work instead.  The
Perl API is being a bit too literal about our 'classes' actually being
interfaces in java.  It would be clearer if the classname method worked
correctly.

Cheers,
Richard.
