Ah yes, that is a current limitation (on my list of things that stop it being a complete replacement for the command line). At the moment it doesn't handle different releases, which is unfortunately due to a hard coded assumption made at the beginning of the design process. It can be changed, but at the cost of a little refactoring.

MineManager doesn't seem to be loading mine(s) with .dev or .prod suffix. It load all others in ~/.intermine directory.
