[biomart-users] Ensembl Genomes links issue from biomart.org

Arnaud Kerhornou-2
Hi,

on http://biomart.org/biomart/martview/, for the Ensembl Genomes
datasets - e.g. Ensembl Plants Genes, on the results page, all links
point to Ensembl instead of Ensembl Plants.
Same with Ensembl Metazoa, and all other divisions of Ensembl Genomes.

Is it a problem with the data we provide, or it is a configuration issue
on the server side ?

Thanks,
Arnaud

Hi Arnaud,
No. no problem with your data. this is some weird configuration issue that we discovered yesterday (please see a post from Fernando).

This will be fixed with the next update

Re: [biomart-users] Ensembl Genomes links issue from biomart.org

Nick James
Hi,

I'm seeing this issue still on http://biomart.org/biomart/martview/. Not sure if this is the same problem come up again or something else causing it now. Is it possible to fix this, or does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?

Thanks,

Nick

Re: [biomart-users] Ensembl Genomes links issue from biomart.org

Arek Kasprzyk
Hi Nick and Arnaud,

I am afraid i might have jumped the gun a little with this.

I had a conversation with Dan who is in charge of Ensembl Genomes a couple of months after sending this email and he explained to me that this issue is not as straightforward as i originally thought. Fixing this in the way i suggested may cause them some production problems. However, he also mentioned that there may be ways to provide a universal URL for all ensembl genomes instead.

(I cc'ed Dan on this email, in case he wants to comment on this more)
